For those who commute to and from work, Monday through Friday, and even some weekends, too, we're sure you understand just how difficult the commute itself can be.

Whether it's those chatty passengers on the silent bus, the rush of people through the subway turnstiles or the mindless car drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic, a bad commute can change the way you feel for the rest of the day.

But Happify, a website and app with science-based activities to help us better our lives, released an infographic that will "make getting there half the fun" and even a little healthier, too.

First, the infographic provides readers with research regarding our commutes. Did you know that Americans spend an average of 25.1 minutes commuting to work, with New York City commuters spending the longest time traveling?

Moreover, according to Happify, Americans are happiest when biking to work, but only 0.6 percent actually do?
