Pampers Installing 5,000 Changing Tables After Florida Man's Viral Photo

This is big news for dads.

A father from Jacksonville, Florida, went viral after uploading a photograph of how he has to change his son's diaper without a changing table in the bathroom. Now, Pampers is stepping up to make a change.

Donte Palmer posted the photo in October, positioned in what he called the "man squat." His 12-year-old son, who Palmer calls his "diaper assistant," thought the stance was so funny he took a picture of it on his phone. After the picture went viral, someone at Pampers noticed. Now Pampers, working alongside John Legend, announced they would install 5,000 changing tables across the United States and Canada as part of their Love the Change campaign.

"I looked around the bathroom, there were no changing tables. I got into my perfect man squat, threw Liam over my lap and began to change him," Palmer told a Jacksonville NBC affiliate.

Palmer has encouraged other fathers to post the ways they change their kid's diapers in bathrooms with no changing tables. Legend, who has posted videos of himself changing his child's diaper on a piano, joined the campaign to raise awareness about some of the challenges facing dads.

"Spending time out and about with my kids is one of the greatest joys in my life, but it's frustrating when I am out with Miles and the men's restroom doesn't have a baby changing table," Legend said in a press release.
