With Nine Rescues Of His Own, This Guy Is Committed To Helping Animals Find Forever Homes

"You are not only saving a life."

With nine rescue animals of his own, Lee Asher knows there is nothing like finding forever homes for animals.

Animal rescue and well-being are things that Asher has always been passionate about. When he was a kid, he would volunteer at shelters. In college, he started fostering animals to help them find forever homes.

This has led him to rescue 16 animals so far.

At the moment, he currently has nine of his own rescues, including seven dogs and two cats.

The California resident explained to The Dodo that he always envisioned his life filled with animals. "I always knew that when I was older I would have a house filled with rescues, so seeing where I am now isn't much of a surprise to me or anyone who knew me growing up," he said.

And he (and his rescues) couldn't be happier.

He explained to Bored Panda that inspiration for rescuing animals isn't just about saving a life. He added that when you rescue a dog or other animal, you're allowing other spaces for other rescues to get adopted.

Lee summarized, "It’s a win-win and a beautiful feeling."

As one can probably guess, Lee explains that his days are filled with love, laughter, and dog hair as he celebrates every day with his four-legged friends.
