LeBron James Made Sure These Students And Their School Will Look Their Best This Year

"Anybody know this guy who stopped by?"

Last year, James headed into the high school and surprised students with a brand-new locker room and gear, Sports Illustrated reports. Twitter users — including James himself — shared the experience on their platforms, showcasing the initial surprise as well as James hanging out with the crowd and speaking with the students. Footage also gives viewers a look inside the new locker room.

Christ the King is one of a few Team LeBron schools in the country, meaning that it's one of the schools he sponsors, and which gets its own custom jerseys and shoes in its colors complete with the branding of James' shoe line, NBC Sports explains.

Of course, this isn't the first time James has helped to better the lives of students and promote education. Last summer, James opened the I Promise School in Akron, Ohio, a collaboration between the LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools. It welcomed 240 third- and fourth-graders to the school for at-risk and low-income youth, offering them free meals, bikes, and tuition. The school exceeded expectations in its first round of standardized testing.
