Laurie Hernandez's Brother Had Some Beautiful Words For Her After Her Gold Medal Win

When your baby sister is on the best gymnastics team in the world ...

The "Final Five" just won the women's team gymnastics gold medal at the Olympics, rightfully claiming the title as the best team in the world.

One of the breakout darlings of the Olympics is 16-year-old Laurie Hernandez, who is as effervescent on the mat and beams as she is off it.

Meanwhile, Hernandez's brother Marcus, has been following his sister and her team flip, vault, and bulldoze their way to the top from back home.

After their win this week, Marcus took to Instagram to post a selfie that Hernandez sent him, sharing his unrestrained pride in his baby sister.

The caption read:

I am so proud of who you are and what you've accomplished. We were talking about this being a possibility a decade ago and to see it actually happen is too much for me to handle. It's blowing my mind how the same little girl I used to see doing flips on my bed at age 6 now has a gold medal. I have seen you deal with so much adversity with the sport over the last several years and to finally see your hard work culminate makes it all worth it. You're the toughest little 16 year old I've ever met and I'm not saying that just cause I'm a proud bro. Remember to give God his glory always! Love you sis and can't wait to see you kill it Monday as well. As soon as you land we're going straight to Wawa.

Judging by his Instagram posts, Marcus is one of her biggest cheerleaders. He also shared a photo of them before the Olympics began with words of encouragement.

"I have seen this girl work tirelessly for the last 10+ years almost everyday. Now I get to say that my little sister is representing the United States of America at the Rio Olympic Games," he wrote. "It's crazy to think that all of your hard work has paid off but I knew from the beginning that it would. I am so unbelievably proud of you and can't wait to see what you do at Rio. You truly deserve it...Now time to show them what you got!"
