Julia Louis-Dreyfus Goes Beast Mode In Photo Update Of Her Battle With Breast Cancer

"How lucky am I that these bozos have my back?"

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is roaring in the face of breast cancer — and, with a little help from her Veep co-stars Tony Hale and Timothy Simons, as well as pop star Katy Perry — she is kicking it square in the butt. The 56-year-old updated fans on her treatment, revealing that she has completed a second round of chemotherapy.

The former Seinfeld star — clad in a hoodie, sunglasses, and a drawn-on mustache — took to Instagram to quote Katy Perry's hit song "Roar" as well as to thank the pop star, Hale, and Simons. This comes nearly a month after Louis-Dreyfus revealed to be battling the disease, calling attention to the fact that it affects 1 in 8 women — something we should all keep in mind given that it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In addition to getting support from former Vice President Joe Biden, Louis-Dreyfus isn't alone in the battle against breast cancer. Other celebrities such as model Mieko Rye and actress Shannen Doherty have been open during their cancer battles, too. These women have shown bravery and strength on the road to recovery and Louis-Dreyfus is as well.

One thing that must make going through something like this easier is having a great support system — which it seems Louis-Dreyfus has in the Veep team. To show their love, Hale and Simons recorded a video of them performing a laugh-out-loud funny and inspirational lip sync to Perry's "Roar." Louis-Dreyfus' reaction? Asking "how lucky am I that these bozos have my back?"

Women have proven that not even a disease like breast cancer will get them down — choosing to channel Wonder Woman after getting a double mastectomy, thanking heroes (aka mammogram technicians) for their work, and creating new technology that helps detect it. Plus, deaths related to breast cancer are way down so no one should ever give up hope.

Keep that roar going, JLD!
