John Boyega Played The Best Kind Of Prank On These Unsuspecting 'Star Wars' Fans

We can't stop smiling.

The Force was with these Star Wars fans when they got a surprise from Finn himself, actor John Boyega, at the franchise's recent Celebration in Orlando.

The fans, who were dressed up in costume, thought they were just posing for some photos with BB-8 — an awesome opportunity in and of itself, since it was the very same droid that appeared in the movie. Little did they know, Boyega was watching them from behind the curtain as they talked to the photographer about their love for the movies.

One fan explained how "special" it would be to meet the actor who played "one of the first Black characters" in the franchise. "I've been looking for him the entire convention," he added.

But before they could come face to face with the star, he had a bit of a prank up his sleeve. As the fans were posing, Boyega sneaked out to photobomb them. Things got pretty creative.

Eventually, the fans caught on, and plenty of hugs were exchanged. It's impossible not to smile when you see their reactions.

Boyega pulled the prank to promote this year's Force for Change contest with Omaze. Fans who donate at least $10 to the campaign have a chance at one of three prizes, including a trip to meet the cast at the red carpet premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The money raised goes to UNICEF and Starlight Children's Foundation.
