Joe Biden Met A Dog Named Biden And It Was Everything We Needed Today

Biden/Biden 2020?

Former vice president Joe Biden was in Washington celebrating the seventh anniversary of the Affordable Care Act when he noticed a special attendee in the audience when he was giving his speech.

Except it wasn't a human — it was a golden retriever puppy who is also named Biden.

The 4-month-old pup and his owner, Sydney, came to Washington in the hopes that Biden the dog could meet Biden the human, who he was named for.

After the former vice president gave his speech, Sydney and Biden had their moment with him. Sydney told BuzzFeed, "As soon as he saw the dog during the actual speech, he pointed at the dog, tapped his friend and then started like cracking up."

She added, "Right towards the end, I, like, kind of signaled him, and he... gave me a wink to come over."

Sydney also shared a photo of Biden meeting Biden on the @BidenTheDog Instagram account.

Once she explained to Biden just who her dog was named after, he began to kiss his furry twin.

And that was the moment that the sweet story began to go viral.
