Watch Jimmy Fallon And Metallica Perform 'Enter Sandman' Using Children's Instruments

Time to bust out your rainbow xylophone.

Heavy metal band Metallica probably never expected to perform one of their biggest hits using instruments made for children, but who can say no to Jimmy Fallon?

On last night's episode of The Tonight Show, Metallica performed "Enter Sandman" with Fallon and The Roots using instruments you'd find in a kid's music class. Lead singer James Hetfield tried his hand at a toy clarinet, drummer Lars Ulrich banged on a tiny toy drum, and bassist Robert Trujillo picked up the baby saxophone pretty quickly.

Metallica may be the first metal band to join Fallon in this segment, but they certainly weren't the first musical artist to do a classroom instruments performance with the Tonight Show host. In the past, Fallon has picked up his kazoo with artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen, Adele, and One Direction. So, if you love the sounds of the toy instruments in this segment, you may want to check those out next.
