This Guy’s Call To The IT Department Ended Up Being A Real Nightmare In James Corden’s ‘It’ Parody

"Another IT mistake again?" "Welcome to my life."

The frightful story of It has been a box office hit, with the latest film version raking in more than $143 million in its opening weekend. The movie is based on Stephen King's 1986 novel about an evil ancient being that preys upon young children and that often takes the form of Pennywise the clown.

Though clowns are often fun, Pennywise doesn't quite fit that category, and that — along with the fear some folks have of the characters — plays out in James Corden's recent parody from The Late Late Show.

In it, Corden dresses as Pennywise and shows up in the office of a corporate employee. Only it turns out the guy was trying to reach the IT department ... not It.

"Another IT mistake again?" asks a fellow employee, nicknamed "Scary Mary."

"Welcome to my life," Corden's Pennywise cracks, after indirectly tormenting the other poor employee by scaring him with a red balloon, hiding in his filing cabinet, and bringing along his pal Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street fame. Turns out Freddy actually does work in the IT department, revealing he took night classes to beef up his skills.

How appropriate.

Watch the hilarity unravel in the clip below. And don't worry ... everyone makes it out alive.
