Islamophobe Harassing Two Women On The Subway Gets Shut Down In The Most New York Way Possible

Here we protect our own.

What started out as a Monday morning commute for New York City resident Amaira Hasan turned into a stressful incident that brought out the very best in her fellow New Yorkers.

According to DNA INFO, the incident took place on an F Train when an unidentified man pushing a young child in a stroller boarded at Brooklyn's Jackson Heights station the day after the attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida

Hasan took to Facebook to describe how the man boarded the Manhattan-bound train she was taking to work and immediately began screaming obscenities at two Muslim women wearing hijabs, calling them "terrorist foreigners" and demanding that they "go back to where they came from."

Hasan's fellow passengers were not having it.

"Before I could say anything, the entire train erupted in anger," Hasan wrote in her post. "A black man, a Romanian, a gay man, a bunch of Asians, and a score of others came to [the two women's] defense."

Undaunted, the stroller-pushing bully persisted on screaming at and intimidating the women.

Hasan said that after much screaming, one man's words finally stopped him cold.

Here's her original post.

"This is New York City. The most diverse place in the world. And in New York, we protect our own and we don't give a fuck what anyone looks like or who they love, or any of those things. It's time for you to leave these women alone, Sir."

The man was removed from the train at the next station.

"In troubling times, people are scared," Hasan told DNA INFO. "But it's nice to see that [at the] end of the day, people are looking out for one another, and I think that's what's important."
