This 102-Year-Old Woman Broke A World Record With Her Recent Skydive Jump

And she did it for a good cause.

Irene O'Shea is going down in the record books.

The 102-year-old great-great-grandmother broke a world record after jumping out of an airplane at 14,000 feet. She became the world's oldest skydiver and a viral sensation along the way.

But her story doesn't just stop there. O'Shea made the jump to raise awareness and money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association of South Australia. It wasn't her first rodeo, either. O'Shea made her first jump after her daughter died of a motor neuron disease 10 years ago, and she's been jumping ever since.
