Hillary Clinton Is Out Of The Woods And Taking Action With A New Political Group

She wants to move "Onward Together."

Hillary Clinton has not made many public appearances since losing the presidential election in November, and she herself has even joked about her sightings in the woods near her Chappaqua, N.Y., home. But it looks like she's ready to once again take action for her country's future.

Clinton announced on Monday that she is launching a new political group called Onward Together — a play on her campaign slogan "Stronger Together." According to the organization's website, Onward Together will "advance progressive values and work to build a brighter future for generations to come" by "encouraging people to organize, get involved, and run for office."

The former secretary of state once again referred to her walks in the woods while announcing the news on Twitter.

Clinton mentioned organizations such as Indivisible, Swing Left, Color of Change, Emerge America, and Run For Something as being among the groups Onward Together will support. According to an email to her supporters, "In some cases, we'll provide direct funding to these organizations. For others, we'll help amplify their work and do what we can to help them continue to grow their audiences and expand their reach."

The Onward Together website also praises movements such as the Women's March, alluding to the Trump administration by explaining, "In recent months, we've seen what's possible when people come together to resist bullying, hate, falsehoods, and divisiveness, and stand up for a fairer, more inclusive America."

Clinton tweeted that she is fighting for "a kinder, big-hearted, inclusive America."

Earlier this month, the former candidate made it clear that she's out of the woods: "I'm back to being an active citizen and part of the resistance."

Supporters can sign up to become a member of Onward Together on the group's website, which features this tagline from Clinton herself: "Resist, insist, persist, enlist."
