Miley Cyrus Joined Jimmy Fallon's Female Writers To Pen Thank-You Notes To Hillary Clinton

Clinton even wrote one of her own.

On Wednesday's Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon debuted another installment of his popular "Thank You Notes" segment, with a twist. Former secretary of state and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was his guest on the show, so he invited his female writers to share their own notes to her in person.

Each writer came on stage to sit at Fallon's desk and write out their messages, while Clinton listened. The notes quickly proved to be sweet, funny, and honest — and Clinton loved them.

"Thank you, Hillary," read one note, "for remaining strong and showing poise before, during, and especially after the election. You taught me that when dealing with a difficult defeat, it's OK to take time to reflect, set your focus on a new path forward, and maybe find a cave in the woods to scream into."

Since it's "Miley Week" on the show, Miley Cyrus also had the chance to say "thank you" to Clinton. Cyrus teared up as she called Clinton "a constant beacon of strength, hope, and determination," before asking for a hug.

Clinton then asked to share her own thank-you note to Cyrus, the writers, "and all the women and young girls out there," and made sure to quote one of Cyrus' most famous songs in her inspirational message: "We can't stop, and we won't stop."
