'Bearded Dame' Flaunts Her Unique Looks In A Stunning Bridal Photo Shoot

'Love yourself, YOU are the only YOU that YOU have.'

Being different isn't easy and this woman knows it all too well.

England-based body confidence and anti-bullying activist Harnaam Kaur suffers from a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome. One of the symptoms, known as hirsutism, causes excessive hair growth on Kaur's body, including her face.

Struggling to embrace her individuality in primary and secondary school, Kaur attempted self-harm and even thought about suicide. But eventually she decided to rise above all the nastiness that society projected on her, and started looking for a way to love and accept herself for what she really is: a powerful female proud of her unique looks.

Harnaam Kaur, 24, who suffers from excessive body hair growth, is an inspiration not only to those with PCOS, but thousands of women struggling with body confidence.

After years of bullying and fighting off insecurities, Kaur learned to love her unique body and wishes to empower others to do the same.

'I love my beard, my stretch marks and my scars. These elements make me who I am, they make me whole, they make me complete,' she said in an interview.

Now, the 'Bearded Dame' is back with a new stereotype-shattering bit and it includes ... a bridal gown.

Despite tying the knot not being in her plans just yet, Kaur was invited to participate in a photo shoot for top bridal site Rock n Roll Bride.

The shoot was done by London-based photographer Louisa Coulthurst of Urban Bridesmaid.

According to the model, their goal was to highlight the amount of pressure brides come under trying to achieve certain looks for their wedding day.

Kaur wanted to send the message that looking 'perfect' doesn't mean you have to completely change who you are for that one special day.

'I always say to both men and women to love themselves and accept any quirks that they may have,' she told Rock n Roll Bride.

The photo shoot was held in a glorious Gothic-style castle. Kaur sported a lush floral turban and a tea-length wedding dress that unveiled her beautiful tattoos.

But the key point of Kaur's bridal looks definitely was her flowery beard.

'I was always intrigued by the thought of floral beards and thought it would be cool to have a floral beard on a woman,' says photographer Louisa Coulthurst.

We have to admit Kaur looks flawless in her photos. She wishes to inspire people to embrace their individuality as well: 'Love yourself, YOU are the only YOU that YOU have,' she says.
