Grandma Asks The Internet For Help In The Sweetest, Most Grandma Way Ever

And Google employees responded.

Last week, 25-year-old Ben Eckersley opened up his grandmother's laptop to find an intriguing search left open on Google. His 86-year-old grandma, who he affectionately calls "Nan," wanted to translate some roman numerals. But she was sure not to forget her manners.

In the Google search bar, she typed, "please translate these roman numerals mcmxcviii thank you."

Eckersley was so amused by the exceptionally sweet search that he snapped a photo and posted it up on his Twitter account.

His Twitter followers — and the rest of the internet — found it just as amusing. The tweet has since been retweeted over 23,000 times and has over 34,000 likes. It also caught Google's attention. They responded to the tweet with their own, thanking Nan for her kind words and providing her with the answer she was searching for.

This further proves it pays off to be polite. Let's all try to be more like Nan.
