The Warriors And Stephen Curry Set All-Time Best Records During NBA's Historic Night

We are all witnesses.

On Wednesday, we witnessed one of the most historic nights in the NBA.

It could be argued that it was possibly the most historic night ever, as the Golden State Warriors set a record never achieved before in the NBA's 70-year history.

Taking on the Memphis Grizzlies at their home arena in The Bay, the Warriors won 125-104, setting the single-season win record at 73. They finished the season without even picking up double-digit losses, finishing 73-9.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Head Coach Steve Kerr said, "A lot has to go right. I'm very grateful to be a part of it. I'm well aware of how lucky I am."

Making this run even more improbable, Assistant Coach Luke Walton led the Warriors to 24 straight wins to begin the season as Kerr was out due to back problems. This is the best start to an NBA season in history, as The Guardian points out.

On top of the team setting the single-season win record, Stephen Curry had his own historic night.

Curry finished the night with 46 points, going 10-19 from three-point land.

Those 10 three-pointers put him at an astonishing 402 made during the season.

To put that into perspective, no one has ever even made 300 three-pointers in one season and Curry previously held the record with 286 threes, per ESPN.

ESPN also pointed out, "Curry has four games with at least 10 3-pointers this season; no one else in NBA history has that many games with 10 3-pointers in a career."

After the game, there were many congratulations coming in for the Warriors and Curry.

However, Curry and the Warriors weren't the only highlight of the night in the NBA.

The Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant, played his final game in the NBA and put up 60 points, including the game-winner.

Curry acknowledged Kobe's legendary last game after finishing his own, saying, "Wow, wow, wow. Kobe had 60?! That man's incredible," as per USA Today.

Mamba out.
