'Game Of Thrones' Actresses Respond Perfectly When Asked Who Would Be The Best Queen

Cersei gets more votes than you'd think.

The Game of Thrones season 6 premiere is just a few weeks away, and the speculation swirling around the teasers and promotional material we've seen so far is reaching a crescendo. How dead is dead Jon Snow? What will happen to the characters that are still alive? Is this the most involved fan art ever created?

All these questions — except the last one, that's already a definitive yes — and more will be answered when HBO finally airs the new season starting April 24. Until then, we as a collective media industry can, should, and will bombard everyone involved with the show for tidbits about what to expect. The latest to do so successfully is Entertainment Weekly, whose cover this week profiled six of the female characters on the show: Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Brienne (Gwendoline Christie), Arya (Maisie Williams), Sansa (Sophie Turner), Cersei (Lena Headey), and Margaery (Natalie Dormer).

"The women are rocking this season — and I'm not just saying that because they're on your cover," HBO programming president Michael Lombardo told EW. "They power this season. It's organic to the storytelling, yet a radical shift. It's the women that are the hope that we're watching as the chess pieces move this season, and it's very exciting."

To build on that fact a little, EW decided to ask each of the actresses who they think would be the best and worst queen of Westeros. Surprisingly, most didn't cast votes for themselves, instead heaping most of the praise on both Stark sisters. Unsurprisingly, a certain conniving character was a popular pick for worst queen.
