9 Foods To Grab When You're Feeling A Little Braindead At The Market, But Still Want To Be Healthy

So easy.

Sometimes we don't have enough time to plan out our grocery lists and spend hours shopping for all of our favorite foods. And when life's that busy, we don't always want to stock our refrigerators and cabinets with food that will expire too fast.

So, to help narrow down some of the best healthy foods we should always keep in our kitchen, Self magazine put together a list you can grab on a quick shopping trip, with items such as avocados and popcorn kernels making the cut.

For example, the publication recommends we always have eggs, because they are a quick source of protein and you can use them to whip up everything from an omelet to an egg salad sandwich.

Self also suggests keeping black beans, because they are a good source of both protein and fiber, and can be used as a salad topping, in stews and soups, and beyond. Plus, they come canned and dried, so you can keep them in your cabinet until you're ready to use.

Check out more of the recommendations below and get ready to stock up!
