He Might Be Shorter Than You, And In 6 Months He Learned To Dunk

Never say never.

When you are 5-foot-7, your dreams of dunking usually end in the bedroom.

But for one kid named Malte, his dream came to fruition on an actual basketball court. As seen in the video above, Malte worked for six months to improve his two-footed and single-footed jumping techniques, using methods he describes on his website.

Malte must have gotten some inspiration from basketball players like Muggsy Bogues and Spud Webb, both of whom had notoriously improbable NBA careers. (Webb even won the 1986 Slam Dunk contest.)

It took Malte six months to get his dunks down, but don't assume he has to stop there. All you need is one look at the 5-foot-5 professional dunker Porter Maberry to know that your height is only as limiting as you allow it to be.

Malte's story is one of perseverance and motivation, and a good reminder that your ceiling is only as low as you set it.
