What Is The Favorite Disney Movie Where You Live? This Map Will Show You.

Can you guess which movie won over the most states?

We all grew up watching Disney movies and connecting with the lovable characters, fearing the formidable baddies, and singing along through it all. Everyone has one movie they hold most dear, but what is the favorite where you're from or where you live now?

The folks over at CableTV.com set out to find the answer to that exact question, with their analysts first narrowing down the entire Disney catalog to the 25 most popular. Starting with movies made in the Disney Golden Age (1937-1942) all the way up through Renaissance (1989-1999) — and everything in-between. After that, they used Google Trends to see how each movie was regarded throughout the U.S. and Canada over the past five years.

Perhaps the biggest finding is that The Lion King reigns supreme, dominating the U.S. by being the favorite in a whopping 17 states — representative of the fact that people seem to love animals as lead characters. What can we say, we can't get enough of those anthropomorphic cuties.

Instances where a Disney movie only appeared once include 1995's Pocahontas (for Arkansas), 1998's Mulan (for Hawaii), 1961's 101 Dalmatians (for Vermont), as well as 1940's Pinocchio, 1950's Cinderella, 1953's Peter Pan, 1967's The Jungle Book, and 1999's Tarzan (all for Utah, which had a 14-way tie).
