This Is What 'The Wizard Of Oz' Looks Like To A Blind Person

Emily's Oz is pretty incredible.

"The Wizard of Oz" is Emily's favorite movie. But she's never actually seen Dorothy's long, brown pigtails, the tin man's shiny, metallic body or the angry green scowl on the Wicked Witch of the West's face. She has, however, imagined it in her mind, and created a beautiful version of the legendary film most of us have experienced with our eyes.

Emily is a 7-year-old girl from Iowa with a vision. The only thing stopping her from seeing it is the fact that she's blind.

"It's different because you can see the screen and what's happening. I can only hear it," Emily says in a video by Comcast. "I take it into my brain and I think, 'what would it look like to me?'"

So Comcast decided to bring "Emily's Oz" to life for a commercial promoting the first talking guide from Xfinity created in the Comcast Accessibility Lab.

"Comcast and my team are laser focused on developing new innovative solutions that enhance the user experience for these customers."
