Ed Sheeran Reveals His Ridiculous Secret Talent In Carpool Karaoke With James Corden

"Let me try and see if I can beat you."

At long last, James Corden finally debuted Carpool Karaoke with Ed Sheeran on Tuesday night's episode of The Late Late Show, and it did not disappoint.

In the segment, the two of them sing a variety of Sheeran's hits, from the omnipresent "Shape of You" to the always-fun "Sing." Corden impresses Sheeran by reciting the song's rap portion with seemingly no effort. "Crushed it!" Sheeran declares after a well-deserved high-five.

Then it's Sheeran's turn to show off a hidden talent of his own. "Is it true that you can fit 47 Maltesers in your mouth?" Corden asks. The singer answers yes, so Corden pulls out a jar of the candy and challenges him to a contest.

Not only does Sheeran beat the host by more than double, but he outdoes even himself, fitting 55 in his mouth before opening the car door to spit them out.

Soon enough, Sheeran's guitar is out, and the pair throw a few covers into the mix, with both Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself"(which Sheeran himself co-wrote) and One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful."

They end things on Sheeran's own "Castle on the Hill," and Corden suggests updating the song's lyrics to reflect the Los Angeles traffic. Sheeran offers some constructive criticism, and the song they come up with could be a hit all on its own.
