Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Is Researching His Newest Role By Surprising Fans At Disney World

"It was a GREAT day on the river."

Leave it to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to prepare for his latest movie role by putting smiles on the faces of his fans. The actor surprised visitors on Walt Disney World's Jungle Cruise ride, which will provide the inspiration for an upcoming live-action movie adaptation that Johnson is set to star in and produce.

Johnson shared a photo on Instagram from the encounter, explaining that he "wanted to dive head first into the research."

"It was a GREAT day on the river," he wrote. "Learned a lot ... for example, it takes approximately 12.6 minutes for all the passengers to get over the shock of me jumping on the boat and thinking I'm a DJ look-a-like. One passenger even said, 'Oh the real Rock is much smaller than this guy.' I threw his ass off the boat." (Don't worry, he's just joking. We think.)

"Best part about this surprise research day was knowing how FUN of an experience we're gonna work hard to create for families around the world," Johnson added. "That's the part that gets [me] excited the most."

It's the second time in just as many weeks that the former wrestler has surprised fans at an Orlando theme park. Last week, he joined Jimmy Fallon at Universal Studios, where he disguised himself as a mascot and photobombed tourists. He even ran into a die-hard fan who showed off his tattoo of Johnson's face and was brought to tears by the encounter.

The Sexiest Man Alive closed his post by sharing that the movie's next step is finding a "visionary director." We can't wait to see how it turns out.
