Drake Is The People's Champ After Accomplishing These Amazing Feats On The Music Charts

Doin' plat, plat only.

Drizzy Drake Rogers used to be looking for some property and now he officially owns the landscape.

After releasing Views on April 29, Drake has been on one of the craziest streaks in hip -hop history.

Soon after releasing his fourth studio album, which went platinum in the first week, he quickly shattered a Billboard record by having 20 singles simultaneously charting on the Hot 100. He became the only person in history to ever accomplish this feat. The Beatles held the record since 1964, with 14 singles charting in one week.

Soon after that, the 6 God went on to host SNL and Views continued to escalate quicker than a Ron Burgundy street fight. It is being reported Wednesday that the album has now reached "plat, plat" status, selling more than 2 million copies.

Since becoming available in stores and on all streaming services, the No. 1-debuting set topped the Billboard 200 album chart the week of May 21 and hasn't budged.

Ariana Grande tried. Blake Shelton tried. Beyoncé climbed back to No. 2, but couldn't move Drake out of the top spot. Radiohead even released a new album for the first time in five years to no avail. There was no dethroning this modern-day king.

The album was further strengthened by Drake's first lead No. 1 single "One Dance," which has now held the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of five weeks. Sorry Desiigner, it looks like Drake has more folks bumpin' his track.

Only Justin Timberlake was able to push the OVO honcho off the No. 1 spot with his single "Can't Stop The Feeling," for the week of May 28.

Now, Drake's album has been streamed a total of 1 billion times on all platforms.

It's no surprise that Drake has now passed Adele and Justin Bieber to become the second-most popular artist of all time on the Billboard Top 100 Artists chart. In total, he has now spent 12 weeks atop the chart, beating out those two and The Weeknd. Only Taylor Swift has spent more weeks on top of the chart, doing it for a ridiculous 31 weeks.

According to Billboard, the Top 100 Artists chart "measures artist activity across Billboard's most influential charts, including the Billboard Hot 100Top Album Sales and the Social 50. The Artist 100 blends data measuring album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity."

To add to Drake's accomplishments, he is also the most streamed artist overall. According to Hits Daily Double, he has been streamed a total of 1.44 billion times. If being No. 1 isn't enough — because it just never is — Drake appears for a second time on the same chart alongside Future with 352 million streams.
