In An Amazing Show Of Love, 150 People Walked Dolce & Gabbana's Runway With Their Families

"Beyond blessed to have shared this beautiful moment with my family."

Fashion Week is all about creativity, but Dolce & Gabbana's latest runway show demonstrated that it is also a celebration of those who love and support you through those creative processes and in life — your family.

For the brand's Fall 2017 show at Milan Fashion Week, designers Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce cast various everyday people as models to walk the runway with their families.

The show featured 150 people of all different backgrounds and ages, including journalists, musicians, models, bloggers, and designers.

Mothers walked with their daughters, siblings walked together, grandparents walked their grandchildren, and some people even got their furry four-legged members of the family involved.

Model Amanda Harvey, who opened and closed the show with her family, wrote on Instagram, "Beyond blessed to have shared this beautiful moment with my family."

While more designers are using the runways to make positive statements this season, this isn't Dolce & Gabbana's first time it has celebrated family. It's something that has been part of the brand's ethos: Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2015 show featured mothers-to-be and moms with their kids walking the runway. The collection, entitled "Viva La Mamma" even featured patterns inspired by kids' drawings.

Furthermore, the brand also has the #DGFamily Project which encourages people to submit their own family photos to create an online album depicting different families from around the world.
