Mulan In Chinese, Aladdin In Arabic, And All Your Favorite Disney Songs In Their Native Languages

Time to brush up on our Greek.

Disney princesses (and princes, and demigods, and commoners who casually bail out entire countries) come from all over the land and all under the sea. And though Disney might have us believe characters in ancient China and Greece sound like they are from Chicago, it just isn't true.

So we wondered what our favorite Disney anthems would have sounded like if they'd been sung in their characters' actual native languages. As we expected, they're even better than the originals.

1. "Beauty and the Beast" — "Bonjour" in French.

2. "The Lion King" — "I Just Can't Wait to be King" in Zulu.

3. "Frozen" — "Let It Go" in Norwegian.

4. "Mulan" — "I'll Make a Man Out of You" in Mandarin Chinese.

5. "Hercules" — "I Won't Say I'm In Love" in Greek.

6. "Aladdin" — "A Whole New World" in Arabic.

7. "The Jungle Book" — "Bare Necessities" in Hindi.

8. "Snow White" — "Heigh Ho" in German.

9. Non-Disney bonus: "Anatasia" — "Once Upon A December" in Russian.
