This Cop Did Something Pretty Unusual At A Music Festival

This is just what we needed.

In the aftermath of far too many police-related controversies to name, cops haven't gotten much good press recently. But there's one cop in Detroit who seems to enjoy the limelight — and he's in it for a pretty fabulous reason.

This video was taken at the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit, Michigan where a crowd gathered around Officer Frederick Youngblood to cheer him on as he showed off his break dancing moves.

His performance in the breakdance circle wasn't even his only act of the day. He also hopped onstage and got the crowd hyped up during a set by Scottish DJ, Hudson Mohawke.

"It was just to let the crowd know we support them and love them. And they love us too," he told The Detroit Free Press. "It's a great thing when the community and the police come together."

Youngblood certainly knew what the crowd wanted:

...And he finished off strong.
