Some Crazy Skateboarders Turn The Sahara Desert Into A Mad Skate Park

There are people who like it easy. But that's not how a real skateboarder rolls. Why have it simple when pushing things to the limit is so much more fun?

Sure, there are some grate skate parks out there. But there are also untouched lands that no skateboarder has braved before. Take the Sahara desert as an example.

You read just right. The Sahara desert. It stretches over 3,500,000 square miles (9,000,000 square kilometers) and covers roughly 10 percent of the African continent. So how does one skateboard there exactly? Well, a bunch of European skateboarders, including Charles Collet, Sam Partaix, Phil Zwijsen and Joseph Bias, decided to find out.

Ludo Azemar, a french filmmaker, was there to capture all the craziness. Scroll down to see his entire video, titled "Desert Memories".

Start off by building skateboarding ramps...

... in the middle of the Sahara desert.

And the boys are set to roll.

That's some neat stuff right there.

Well at least it's not concrete.

Just think of the heat out there.
