Before Winning 'America's Got Talent,' Darci Lynne Performed With Fellow Ventriloquist Terry Fator

Watch their puppets sing a competitive duet.

It probably won't come as a surprise to many that 12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer was crowned the winner of America's Got Talent season 12 during Wednesday night's finale. The young singer delivered a number of adorable and impressive performances during the season, but this week's duet with two of her puppets was truly amazing.

Runner-up this season was 10-year-old Angelica Hale, an incredible singer whose personal story of receiving a kidney from her mother was just as powerful as her voice. As Entertainment Tonight's Deidre Behar wrote on Twitter when the top two talents were revealed, "If that doesn't scream GIRL POWER, WHAT DOES?"

Darci Lynne, meanwhile, got a very special social media shout-out from none other than last year's winner Grace VanderWaal, who called her "a super star and so sweet." Like Grace, Darci will receive a prize of $1 million and a headlining show in Las Vegas.

Before her big win, Darci had the opportunity to perform with fellow ventriloquist and season 2 America's Got Talent winner Terry Fator, who performs at the Mirage in Las Vegas. Darci's bunny puppet Petunia and Fator's turtle friend Winston got a little competitive, and sang a duet of "Anything You Can Do."

"She is, at 12 years old, one of the most unbelievable, perfect ventriloquists I've ever seen, and she'll only get better," Fator told USA Today, describing her style as "flawless."
