Chelsea Clinton Offers Fellow Mom Chrissy Teigen Advice On Dealing With Trolls

"Sending you & beautiful Luna a huge hug."

Many Twitter users showed their support for Chrissy Teigen over the weekend after the model and cookbook author was the target of a Twitter troll. That includes former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, who shared solidarity and advice with Teigen.

According to the Huffington Post, things started when conservative writer Liz Crokin tweeted about Teigen, her husband John Legend, and her daughter Luna, suggesting they were connected to the debunked Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which falsely claimed that Hillary Clinton ran a child trafficking ring from a Washington, D.C., pizzeria.

Teigen shared screenshots of the tweets, saying she was "disturbed" by the "scary" accusations. Crokin has apparently lost verification from Twitter. Teigen later tweeted, "Don't ignore it. Tired of letting these people get away with this shit. Thank you, @twitter."

Chelsea Clinton, who over the past year or so has used her Twitter platform to voice her opinion on politics and even defend President Donald Trump's son Barron from criticism, responded to Teigen's tweets on the issue. Clinton herself has been the victim of online trolls, some of whom have even targeted her daughter Charlotte.

"Chrissy, sending you & beautiful Luna a huge hug," Clinton wrote. "It is awful & never ok when people threaten or demean any child." She added that she reports every threat against her daughter.

Teigen responded to the kind message, saying she felt "silly even worrying about this in comparison to the magnitude of slander and threats you and your family have dealt with for decades." She sent her love to Clinton, her daughter, and her husband Marc, later adding son Aidan to the message.

We're always glad to see moms supporting each other, whether they're famous or not, and this interaction is certainly no exception.
