Want To Inspire Your Kids To Travel? This Map Will Also Inspire Them To Pick Up A Book.

Where will you go next?

As summer continues, we've got one thing on the brain: vacation. But travel is so much more than a break from your day-to-day life — it's an opportunity to discover and learn from new cultures and people all over the world

One advocate for this is Wayfairer, a travel brand on a mission "to offer luxury holidays and safaris which are authentic, meaningful and socially responsible, and which thereby also benefit local communities and conserve environments." On its website, it explains that for its Recommended Reading series, Wayfairer has rounded up favorite books set throughout the world as a way to inspire future travel. And recently, it chose to look "specifically at inspirational books for the little travelers in our lives" and create a map of children's books set in all different countries.

The list includes everything from Moonlight on the Magic Flute by Mary Pope Osborne, set in Austria, to The Forest in the Clouds by Sneed B. Collard III, set in Chile, and Filipino Friends by Liana Romulo, which is set in the Philippines. There are also books on the list set in Somalia, South Africa, Turkey, Vietnam, France, Denmark, and more.

The brand then consolidated the list into a map:

Hopefully, children will read these books and feel motivated to travel and learn more about the world around them.
