Camila Cabello And Jimmy Fallon Turn #SummerSongs Tweets Into Music You'll Actually Want To Jam Out To

"Don't go chasing ice cream trucks."

You've likely heard of tunes deemed "song of the summer" — an honor usually given to the most popular ditty (or perhaps multiple) to emerge and get everybody grooving during the hottest months of the year — but have you ever heard of #SummerSongs?

Jimmy Fallon had last night's Tonight Show musical guest Camila Cabello — with the aid of The Roots, of course — take people's seemingly ordinary tweets and sing them to the beats of some of your favorite songs. While the tweets themselves were either weird, funny, or both, somehow it worked when you just add a little music to the mix.

When the tweets are songified, they sound just like classics such as "Hot In Herre" by Nelly, "Waterfalls" by TLC, "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly, and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Houston. They can also sound like recent chart-toppers such as "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, "Hello" by Adele, and "All I Do is Win" by DJ Khaled. Even two of Cabello's songs — "I've Got Questions" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" (with Shawn Mendes) got the treatment, too.

This showed that the former Fifth Harmony member — who performed "Crying in the Club" on the show, too — can roll with the punches, sing in pretty much any style, and turn strange lyrics into what sound like hits. It makes us even more excited for Cabello's first solo album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving. to finally be released later this year.
