Brother Takes Little Sister To Her First Father-Daughter Dance After Their Parents Divorced

He even won "Best Dad" award.

Going to a first father-daughter dance is a special moment for anyone. But one 6-year-old named Noor Hasher worried she'd miss out since her parents had divorced in November, and the Michigan family had no contact with her dad since.

Upset, the little girl wore her dress around the house anyway. Her older brother, 17-year-old Mohammad, noticed her sitting on the couch, in her dress, the morning of the dance on Feb. 4. When she told him why she was wearing the dress, and that she was sad she wouldn't be able to go to the dance, Mohammad stepped up.

He told her he'd take her to her first father-daughter dance.

He explained to BuzzFeed, "I wasn't going to let my little sister be the one out of all her friends to not be at the dance." So, Mohammad went all out and bought his little sister a new outfit for the occasion, and even took her to the salon to get her hair done.

At the event, the siblings had a blast dancing together and Noor was able to socialize with all of her friends.

Mohammad even won the "Best Dad" award.

Mohammad told the Huffington Post that "the night was awesome," he added, "It filled my heart with happiness seeing [Noor] dance with so much joy and have fun with all of her friends."

Social media has also been won over by the story. Since Mohammad tweeted about the event on Feb. 6, the post has been retweeted over 26,000 times and liked over 107,000 times.

While the viral story is brilliant, it's being able to make his sister's day that means so much to Mohammad. He told Teen Vogue"The dance was a blast. My family is my world, my baby sister, especially. I was beyond happy to make it a night she will remember forever. It was so beautiful to see how happy she was and how much fun she had."
