This Man Looks Like He Is Trapped In A Box. The Reality Is Unbelievable.

You'll watch this over and over again.

"Box," the short film you're about to see, was created by San Francisco-based design and engineering studio Bot & Dolly, who made it last year to showcase their incredible projection mapping abilities

In the video, we see an actor exploring a studio space where two industrial scale robots move a pair of flat panels around. Unseen by the viewer, however, are high-def projectors that beam computer-generated images onto the panels, creating an incredibly realistic geometric universe that the actor is able to interact with.

The overall effect of "Box" is better shown than told, so please scroll through these GIFs and watch the full video, posted below.

You'll be glad you did.

As soon as "Box" begins, you'll forget that you're looking at a flat surface.

Even when the panels turn, our senses strain to locate the illusory objects.

As the video progresses, it becomes nearly impossible to discern between the real and projected...

... as we find ourselves trapped by the limitations of perspective.

Watch "Box" in its entirety below. You'll be glad you did.
