Bo Gilbert Becomes First Century-Old Woman In 'British Vogue'

"I just suit myself. I certainly don't dress up for boys."

Model Gigi Hadid — one of the biggest names in fashion today — just celebrated her 21st birthday. Adwoa Aboah? She's celebrated 23. Scouts found supermodel Karlie Kloss when she was just 13, allowing her to land a Calvin Klein runway show when she was only 15.

Needless to say, most of the fashion models we see in the pages of our favorite publications or walking fashion week runways are quite young — between 16 and 25, as pointed out in a video for Harvey Nichols.

But cue Bo Gilbert, a 100-year-old stunner who will be the first century-old woman to appear in British Vogue for a Harvey Nichols campaign celebrating the fashion publication's 100th birthday.

"I do things that I think a lot of people wouldn't do at my age," Gilbert says in behind-the-scenes footage of her photo shoot. "I just suit myself. I certainly don't dress up for boys."

"We're really proud to be involved in a project which proves the older generation can be fearlessly stylish too," Ben Tollett, executive creative director at Harvey Nichols' ad agency adam&eveDDB, told The Guardian. "Ageism is so last century."

Upon seeing her brilliantly beautiful campaign photo, in which she wears bright pink and a statement necklace, Gilbert appears overjoyed. "Ah! It's astonishing," she says.

You go, Bo.
