Blake Lively Unfollowed Ryan Reynolds On Instagram. Obviously, He Had A Funny Response.

"It definitely stings."

As you may have noticed, Blake Lively has been making some unusual changes to her Instagram page recently. Not only did she delete all of her past posts and her profile picture, but she also unfollowed everyone, including her husband Ryan Reynolds, and replaced them with 38 people named Emily Nelson.

Lively obviously had a very good reason for all of this, but that didn't stop Reynolds from joking that they were on the outs during a recent interview with Australian radio presenter Smallzy to promote Deadpool 2.

"It definitely stings," he said. "It's a terrible way to find out that I've been kicked out of the house, to be honest. Absolutely terrible. I don't know where rage like that comes from."

The real reason, of course, is that Lively is promoting a new movie called A Simple Favor, in which she plays a character named Emily Nelson, who mysteriously disappears. Lively posted the trailer to her Instagram yesterday. It's the only post on her account, while her bio asks, "What happened to Emily?"

Reynolds' funny reaction should come as no surprise, considering how many jokes the couple has played on each other in the past. You might have seen them cropping each other out of pictures on social media, or laughed at Lively captioning a photo of the two of them with a comment about her hair.

As much as we love how they poke fun at each other, they can also be sincere about their relationship. In a Humans of New York post from last year's Met Gala, Reynolds gushed about Lively, saying, "She's made me a more empathetic person."

But back to the jokes — the actor hypothesized to Smallzy how his kids would respond if they found out that "Mommy unfollowed Daddy on Instagram," insisting, "My child would just fart and walk away."
