Divers Swam With This Amazing Sea Creature, Then Found Out It Wasn't What They Thought

You can't tell by looking at it.

Nicknamed the "unicorn of the sea," this sea creature spotted on film isn't what you think it is.

No, it's not a sea worm. It's not a jellyfish or an octopus either. It is what is called a pyrosome, which basically means it is a collection of thousands of small organisms that gathered together seem almost like a singular, sponge-like, eerie sea creature. 

While this pyrosome was four feet long, the newscaster in The Weather Channel video below notes they have been known to grow more than 60 feet long.
