She’s Over 90 Years Old And Took It Easy On This NFL Player During Their Dance Battle

Work it, Irma.

Prior to a game against the Baltimore Ravens, Dre Kirkpatrick of the Cincinnati Bengals hosted a tailgate party at the Loveland Health Care Nursing & Rehab Center in Loveland, Ohio. The cornerback was getting the group pumped for Thursday night's football game with music and dancing.

Kirkpatrick was getting down to the music, but when the DJ began playing a mash-up of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode" and Warren G's "Regulate," the player was upstaged.

Viral videos from the tailgate party show 95-year-old nursing home resident Irma Shafer stealing the show as she busts a move. She throws her hands up in the air and shimmies, and even grabs his hand to dance with him at one point.

Even Kirkpatrick realizes that he had lost this impromptu "dance battle." At the end of the video, he shakes her hand while the DJ proclaims, "I think she's hired, folks."

The video was shared on Twitter by WLWT sports reporter Brandon Saho and it has gone viral, racking up 1.6 million views in a little more than 24 hours.

Kirkpatrick took to Instagram to express how impressed he was with Shafer's dance movies.

"This lady gave me so much life this morning at the Loveland Healthcare Nursing & Rehab Center," he wrote. "I wanted to tell you guys this lady is 98 [sic] and still can move." He added the hashtag #icandancetoo.

Fans of the Bengals and of other teams have all come together to agree that Shafer has amazing dance moves and her video will put a smile on almost anyone's face.

The nursing home tailgate party comes after Kirkpatrick gave back to kids in need with a back-to-school shopping spree as part of his 21 Foundation. Both events highlight how giving back can spread positivity and happiness far and wide.
