Emma Watson Sings Belle's Opening Number In This Nostalgic Clip From 'Beauty And The Beast'

"There goes the baker with his tray like always ..."

Disney just keeps giving us more and more reasons to see the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast. Now it's hitting us right in the '90s nostalgia by releasing a new clip from the start of the film featuring Emma Watson singing Belle's iconic, self-titled opening number.

We already heard how well Watson can sing when audio from the film's version of "Something There" was shared last month. But it's even more exciting to see her character in action, strolling the streets of her "poor, provincial town" and interacting with the locals.

If you're a fan of the original animated film, you just might get goosebumps when Watson delivers the famous first line from Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's song: "There goes the baker with his tray like always / The same old bread and rolls to sell."

We also get a brief taste of Watson's interpretation of her spirited character, as well as her wardrobe. The film's costume designer recently described Belle as an "active" princess, and from watching her leap across stones in a pond, that's very clear. We can't wait to see how Watson reinvents the iconic character (including her new talent as an inventor) when the film hits theaters March 17.
