There's No One Way To Be A 'Good Mom,' And Dove's Brilliant #RealMoms Campaign Proves It

"There are so many ways to be a mom."

Everybody has their own ideas about how to be a "good mom," but is there any one way to do it? In Dove's latest #RealMoms campaign, the brand shows there are countless ways to be a "good mom," and the term can't be applied to any one type of person.

In the campaign's video description it says, "Meet #RealMoms whose diverse parenting styles shatter stereotypes about motherhood and prove that there are no rules about how to be a parent today. From Cassidy, who is raising her son on a cattle ranch, to Elise, who brings her daughter to breakdance battles ... "

" ... we're so inspired by moms around the country who trust their way."

The campaign coincides with the launch of the brand's new Baby Dove collection, and was created after Dove's research showed many parents feel pressured to fit into rigid stereotypes and strive to be the "perfect" parent.

The video portrays moms from all types of backgrounds from stay-at-home moms, to single moms, to moms who raise their kids while pursuing careers. What they all have in common is that they are proud to be doing things their way.

One stay-at-home mom explains how relatives often told her to do things their way when she was raising her baby, but she says, "I have to be that woman who stands her ground."

Another mom describes how parenting and her lifestyle go hand-in-hand. "I like to be the best version of myself I can be, and part of that is being her mom, but I live to dance. I can do my art and not be any less of a mom," she said.

And one rock-climbing mom brilliantly sums things up: "There are so many ways to be a mom."
