9 Ways To Pick Yourself Up When Life Gets You Down

Sometimes, we just have bad days where nothing seems to go our way. And while we look for ways to turn those days around, it's often not easy. At times, turning to others for advice can be a great way to find new methods to pull yourself through the moments that feel hardest. 

One Reddit user did just that when they asked the online community a simple question: "When life just seems to keep knocking you down over and over and over again, what do you do to keep picking yourself back up?

Many have responded with their personal methods for staying motivated, and the mantras they use to remind themselves things will get better. Some of thire responses are good for those simply having a bad day, while others are useful for those experiencing a more sustained issue affecting overall mental health.  

"Don't get mad at what you can't control," one person writes. "Accept, overcome, persevere."

Of course, everyone copes and manages things differently, which is why it's important to be aware of the many resources available for help. In the meantime, sometimes it's just useful to hear suggestions from those on the Internet who are perhaps experiencing something similar to yourself.
