The Track Length For One Of Ariana Grande's New Songs Holds Special Meaning

"It’s all the voices in my head talking to one another."

In anticipation of Ariana Grande's upcoming album Sweetener, the singer released the track lengths for all 15 new songs, and one in particular stands out. As Pop Crave speculates in a tweet about the runtimes, the album's final song, "Get Well Soon," pays tribute to the victims of the Manchester attack.

The song clocks in at 5:22, which matches the date of the bombing, which occurred on May 22 of last year. Twenty-two people were killed in the attack at the Manchester Arena following Grande's concert. The singer went on to organize a benefit concert in the English city and was made an honorary Manchester citizen for her response to the tragedy.

Grande previously paid subtle tribute to the city in the music video for her single "No Tears Left to Cry." At the end of the clip, a bee flies on the edge of the frame. The worker bee is a symbol of Manchester.

According to Elle, Grande collaborated with Pharrell Williams on "Get Well Soon." It was inspired by the anxiety she suffered after finishing her tour, when she says she felt "upside down," telling the magazine, "It's all the voices in my head talking to one another."

"They say my system is overloaded," Grande sings on the track, with background vocals asking, "Girl, what's wrong with you? Come back down."

Grande has been open about her experience with PTSD and anxiety in the months following last year's attack. "I've always had anxiety," she told British Vogue earlier this year. "I've never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it, but when I got home from tour it was the most severe I think it's ever been."

However, she also told Time that taking care of herself led to "balance, and freedom, and joy," which then "poured out into the music." We can't wait to hear everything Grande created when Sweetener debuts August 17.
