Adam Sandler's Hilarious New Version Of 'The Chanukah Song' Is Epic

"Put on your yarmulke..."

With so many songs around the holiday season about Christmas, comedian Adam Sandler famously broke that stereotype with "The Chanukah Song" in 1994. Sandler, who is Jewish, created the song as a cast member of Saturday Night Live to show Jewish children that there are famous people who celebrate Hanukkah. Sandler updated the song to include other Jewish celebrities in 1999 and in 2002.

Sandler just released the 4th Installment of “The Chanukah Song” in 2015.

Sander introduced the latest version of his song about Hanukkah during an appearance at San Diego's Civic Theatre in November 2015.

The 4th version of the song began exactly as the previous ones did.

“Hanukkah is the festival of lights. Instead of one day of presents, we have eight crazy nights.”

The crowd in San Diego cheered for Sandler during the performance. Throughout the new song, Sandler rambled out a list of famous Jewish celebrities, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Drake, Scarlett Johansson and David Beckham.

“We may not have a cartoon with a reindeer that can talk. But we also don’t have polio, thanks to Dr. Jonas Salk.”
