Little Girl Born With Her Heart Outside Her Chest Gives New Meaning To 'Laugh Your Heart Out'

"... I just walk around, I jump, I fly, I run ... Well I am not supposed to run, but I love running.”

For Virsaviya Borun, "laugh your heart out" isn't just a cute phrase, it's what it actually looks like when she giggles.

The 7-year-old was born with her heart formed outside of her chest due to a rare congenital condition called Pentalogy of Cantrell

And while her laugh is nearly one-of-a-kind (her condition affects an estimated five babies per million live births), Borun's just like any other little girl. "... I just walk around, I jump, I fly, I run," she told BBC. "Well I am not supposed to run, but I love running," she says in the BBC video (below).

Borun and her mother Dari Borun moved to the United States with the hope that, once there, Borun could undergo surgery to put her heart back in its proper place behind her ribcage. However, they were told Borun wasn't strong enough to survive the surgery due to problems with her blood pressure.

Despite the extra care Borun must take to protect her heart, she's happy to do so because it's what makes her so special — and her laugh so incredible.

Dari Borun has posted many other videos and pictures of Borun to chronicle her journey with Pentalogy of Cantrell to a popular Instagram account with nearly 100,000 followers and also created the #VirsaviyaWarrior hashtag to raise awareness of her daughter's rare condition.
