She's Only Five Years Old But Her Hard Work Has Already Started Paying Off

Absolute mayhem.

It started out as an arts and crafts project.

A four-year-old girl with a huge imagination, a creative vision and all the right supplies made elegant dresses that were stylish and red carpet-ready. In fact, many of her styles were inspired directly from gowns worn by celebrities at various award shows.

Sydney "Mayhem" Keiser, now five years old, has had quite a year since her mother's Instagram account and blog generated a ton of heat for their adorable display of creativity, and their novel approach to fashion design. The Instagram acquired hundreds of thousands of followers — and Mayhem became a fashion icon. She was even included as one of Barbie's "Sheros."

To celebrate this honor, Mattel actually made a "Mayhem" Barbie Doll.

Just in case she wasn't officially the most accomplished five year old in the universe, Mayhem has recently been recruited to design a summer line for "crewcuts" which is J. Crew's children's line.

"She's the supercute, supercreative wunderkind who took the fashion world by storm," The J. Crew blog marvels. "For summer 2015, we asked Mayhem (who was nicknamed after her free-spirited attitude) to design an exclusive capsule collection for crewcuts using her arts-and-crafts know-how, then we had our designers turn her paper creations into the real thing."

Here's Mayhem modeling her dress for J. Crew creative director, Jenna Lyons

According to, Little Mayhem with J. Crew is a nine-piece "whimsical" collection designed by Mayhem herself with items starting at $22.50.

If we know anything about Mayhem and her remarkable sense of fashion and aesthetics, this line is sure to be a huge hit. Keep an eye out for Little Mayhem —and her merchandise. She's likely to be running the world by the time she's seven.
