There's discussion of her going skydiving to celebrate turning 100.

If you think getting older means becoming boring, please let this grandma change your mind. Age has not deterred now 98-year-old Gladys from ringing in her birthdays in very special ways.

According to BuzzFeed, she commemorated her 95th birthday by getting a matching tattoo with her now 29-year-old granddaughter, Shannon Weikle. And there's discussion of her going skydiving to celebrate turning 100. But it's her most recent birthday celebration that has the Internet talking.

To help Gladys kick off her 98th year of life on the right foot, Weikle a fun, pastel-colored photoshoot for her grandmother. She enlisted the help of her photographer friend Cara Lynn McGilvrey.

McGilvrey shared some of the photos from the exciting shoot on her photography business's Facebook page. In them, we can see Gladys dyed her hair blue and dressed up in a multicolor tutu. As she sits surrounded by balloons and other party decorations, she sips on Prosecco straight from the bottle and digs into her blue and purple iced birthday cake.

"When your friend asks if you can do a smash cake session for her spunky grandmother's 98th birthday, YOU DO IT!" McGilvrey wrote on Face book. "I was head over heels in love with this idea! Gladys was so fun and such a good sport! She is exactly who I want to be when I grow up. We should all aspire to be more like Gladys; young at heart!"

The photos have gone viral since McGilvrey first posted them two weeks ago. They've been shared over 18,000 times and have over 16,000 reactions on Facebook. People flooded the comments to say they hoped to do something similar for their grandparents and mothers' birthdays. Others called Gladys "fabulous" and "spunky" and commented on how adorable the photos came out. Many also found them to be inspiring, writing that they hoped to be just like Gladys when they get older.

"This is the kinda lady I want to be at 98!!!" one commenter wrote.

"It is my dream to be this woman," another wrote

Gladys shared some words of wisdom she's learned in her 98 years on earth with BuzzFeed. “I think to get through life you just have to be easy," she said. "Enjoy it! You’re not going to get a second one."
