This Elderly Couple Fell In Love In Their Nursing Home — And Just Got Married There

If their story doesn't give you hope, we don't know what will.

When 89-year-old Doris Ladner first walked through the doors of Woodland Village Nursing Center in Diamondhead, Mississippi, she was greeted by 84-year-old Robert Holler. Little did either of them know, that moment would alter their lives. Soon after, the pair was inseparable.

Last Saturday, the seniors decided to take their relationship to the next level. They got married at the nursing home surrounded by loved ones, fellow residents, and nursing home staff. Laden wore a royal blue ensemble with a matching flower crown and shiny shoes for the occasion. She held hands with Holler during the entire ceremony.

Their reception was also held at Woodland Village, complete with wedding cake, music, and dancing.

Holly Ford, an administrator at Woodland Village, told WLOX that Ladner and Holler are the first two residents to get married on the property, making the occasion even more special.

"While many perceive nursing homes as end-of-life care, Ladner and Holler were able to find joy and love in each other's company and spend the rest of their lives together," Ford said.

Since they tied the knot, the couple has been seen frequently holding hands and Holler treats Ladner to a cup of coffee when she when she wakes up each morning.

If that isn't love, we don't know what is. And if you're worried you'll never find the one, this couple proves it's never too late.
