6-Year-Old Secretly Orders $300 Worth Of Toys, Donates Them To A Kids Hospital

"She wanted to give a little joy to those who aren't well."

Six-year-old Kaitlin's birthday was coming up so her mom gave her permission to buy a Barbie off the family's Amazon account. When the little girl from Utah went back onto the account to see when her Barbie would be arriving, she decided to do some extra shopping.

She managed to buy $300 worth of toys without her parents knowing.

Of course, they found out when the packages were delivered. "They just started unloading box after box after box," explained Kaitlin's older cousin, Ria Diyaolu, to BuzzFeed News.

Diyaolu shared the story on Twitter, showing Kaitlin, with a look of pure delight, standing next to a stack of Amazon boxes as tall as her.

People were surprised at how the little girl managed to successfully order everything without her parents finding out. But, it was the ending of the story that made people smile.

After sharing the original story on Twitter on August 11, Diyaolu shared an update on August 15 revealing that Kaitlin donated all of the toys to the children's hospital she stayed at for a week when she was a baby.

The Twitter user explained, "She wanted to give a little joy to those who aren’t well."

Photos show Kaitlin at the hospital posing in front of her stack of Amazon boxes and with hospital staff.
