This Woman Is A Disabled Vet And Single Mom, And 2 Chainz Is About To Change Her Life

Rapper 2 Chainz remembers what it's like to be cold, hungry, and in pain.

So, in an effort to give back this holiday season, 2 Chainz helped ease one woman's troubles with rent.

"I remember when we didn't have hot water and I didn't want my friends to know," 2 Chainz captioned on an Instagram post. "I remember using the oven to heat the house... I remember going to sleep hungry...No matter how much pain I endured, I smiled on the outside, it was my defense mechanism. I remember."

I remember when we didn't have hot water and I didn't want my friends to know , so I told them it was something wrong with that bathroom and they couldn't use my mommas, i remember using the oven to heat the house , I would stand in the kitchen for hours to stay warm . I remember waiting until the water co. Close at 5 ,so we could use a tool and turn the water back on until 6 am , I remember going to sleep hungry , i remember a long ass extension chord coming from the neighbors house to mine to borrow they're lights ,I remember stealing cable , cars , clothes etc, no matter how much pain I endured I smiled on the outside , it was my defense mechanism. I remember

On Saturday, 2 Chainz visited Deirdre Plater, a disabled veteran and single mother, who's also struggling to find a job. In an epic surprise, 2 Chainz arrived with "new furniture for Plater's apartment and offered to pay her rent for the year," CNN reports.

In a video featuring footage from the rapper's visit, 2 Chainz introduced his own children to an overwhelmed Plater and her son.

2 Chainz also explained that proceeds from his sweater line are intended for those in need, to "help jumpstart everything." Through this platform, he can give back to Plater and her family.

That said, a bed, additional furniture, and money for rent awaited the well-deserving mother.

And it's all "straight from [2 Chainz's] heart."
